The government has provided additional funding for welfare support among other developments; this announcement was made by the Minister of Finance and Public Service, Dr. Nigel Clarke in Parliament on Tuesday. Whilst the funds geared towards constituency development will be allocated to Members of Parliament, he notes it is also for additional activities related to Jamaica 60.
The Minister adds an additional 150 million dollars will be made available for the trucking of water.
In his presentation, he also mentioned non-PATH beneficiaries will receive welfare support from the government. The latest measures were among incentives promised by the Prime Minister to alleviate the burden on the Jamaican people. Watch the report here:
