Help is on the way for Jamaican students trapped in the Ukraine where there has been tension between the country and Russia. Minister of Information, Robert Morgan made the announcement during Wednesday’s Post Cabinet Media Briefing.

Morgan says a big challenge lies in identifying the number of Jamaican students in need of rescue since many would be pursuing private studies and not government-funded studies and another concern is ensuring students continue their studies if they leave.

He disclosed that the recent trip by Prime Minister Andrew Holness to the Bahamas for the opening of a Sandals resort was funded by the resort.

Morgan also reported that the cabinet has given approval for the inclusion of the construction of the St Catherine North Police Divisional Headquarters.
