Opposition Leader Mark Golding says critical decisions in the country’s management continue to be influenced by class and race. He was speaking Saturday at a People’s National Party (PNP) conference in South West St Andrew. Much of Jamaica’s injustices are being fueled by classism, racism and inequality, so says the opposition leader who insists if the nation is to be rid of its vices serious discourse must begin. Golding told party supporters in St Andrew that the PNP remains the party capable of eliminating status quo politics and bringing help to those who need it most. He notes it was the PNP who stepped in to address the more grievous issues of the 1970s when the state and many were at odds. Golding says he’s open to the support of the private sector in bringing equity and balance to the nation. Watch the report below:
