Monday marked the second week of the new school term, however, some students at the Godfrey Stewart high school were denied access due to noncompliance with the school’s dress code.

Some parents are disgruntled, taking to social media to vent their frustration.  A meeting was convened Monday to discuss the action to be taken. Following the barring of some students at the Godfrey Stewart High School in Westmoreland Monday, our news team visited the institution on Tuesday and spoke with the Chairman of the Board of Governors Neville Wilson; he tells CVM LIVE a meeting was held with various stakeholders within the western region, as they seek to have the issue addressed. The Chairman notes the school has always kept parents in the loop regarding decisions on the institution’s policies. He adds the institution’s policy position and fully outlines the dress code.
