There are new opportunities for students at the Trench Town Polytechnic College. Tank Weld has taken the decision to provide the institution with a new forklift to help train students on how to better operate, drive and maintain forklifts, thereby increasing the supply of skilled labour in the market.

While lauding the initiative, Opposition Leader Mark Golding says it is prudent to enhance the skills training of youth, especially for those who may not be able or inclined to pursue academic qualification through tertiary education.

Golding says with the donation of the forklift he anticipates the training of scores of persons to manipulate the equipment.
