The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) and the Flow Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to train 1500 teachers in the coming months.

This strategic partnership between both organizations will offer teachers free online certified training, which will further equip them to meet the challenges of a digital future.

The teachers selected by the JTA will register under the training for professionals initiative (a sub-programme), administered through one-on-one educational services.

This will provide access to a wide variety of courses by some of the top publishers in the world.

JTA President Jasford Gabriel says he is elated that this initiative will bolster educators in the school system.

The partnership falls under the Flow Foundation Digital Education Programme, which focuses on driving digital inclusion by equipping Jamaicans with the necessary skills for the future.
