On Sunday, a fire of unknown origin destroyed the Brown’s Town Courthouse in St. Ann. It took over 30 firefighters to extinguish the blaze that ravaged the two-story structure. When our news team arrived on the scene, the building was already engulfed in flames. It took over approximately two hours for firefighters to contain the blaze. Senior Deputy Superintendent of the St Ann Fire Department, Anthony Hines says three units responded to the fire at about 8 pm on Sunday. The building along with its contents he says was extensively damaged.

There were reports that the first fire unit on the scene had water challenges but when asked Superintendent Hines was not aware of this as he notes investigations are ongoing.
