In a positive development, Minister of Labour and Social Security, Pearnal Charles Jr., expresses confidence in resolving issues that previously jeopardized the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme (SAWP) in North America. On Wednesday, 111 Jamaicans departed for Canada to participate in the SAWP. Minister Charles Jr. emphasizes a commitment to strengthening the program, ensuring its longevity, and promises a more vibrant and responsive campaign to employ workers. He urges collaborative efforts, stating that the government aims to enhance, protect, and improve the SAWP in 2024.
