The Transport Authority is cracking down on reckless public passenger operators who continue to violate the road codes.
The authority is now utilizing technology with the addition of a “DRIVE SAFE APP” to it’s monitoring system.
The official launch got underway recently at the ministry in Kingston.
The drive safe application will allow members of the public to capture and submit infractions being committed by public transport operators in the sector.
The App is available in the Google Play Store, and will become accessible to Iphone users in the coming week.
Transport Minister Robert Montague points out that over 400 reports have already been made.
He is urging the public to utilize the user-friendly safety app.
Minister Montague says he is determined to develop the sector.
