Within 48 hours after the State of Public Emergency (SOPE) was declared across several parishes to help curb the increased crime rate in the country, two men died in a fatal gun attack in Norwood, St James on Wednesday night leaving four others injured, including a nine-month-old baby.
Unknown assailants pounced upon a group playing domino at a shop in the parish. Among those injured is an infant. Dead are `31-year-old Delano Christie, a shopkeeper from the parish, and an unemployed man, 26-year-old Jordain Brown, also of St. James.
A grim reminder of the pervasive nature of the crime scourge. One distraught resident is making a desperate plea to the government, to eradicate the crime monster. Watch the report:
