Double Murder Linked To Domestic Violence

The Manchester police are investigating a double murder that is said to be linked to domestic violence. The incident happened earlier this morning while both victims, who are women, twenty-nine-year-old Shanika Dixon, a hairdresser and 35-year-old Ilara Mullings, a bartender of Lincoln road were asleep in their home.

They were found with gunshot wounds inside a house.

A suspect who is now in their custody  was reportedly caught in a police dragnet hours after the incident. Based on police reports, After being alerted to the scene of the murder , investigators worked quickly to identify the suspect and thereafter set up a roadblock along Williamsfield main road in the parish, where he was caught.

 Investigators believed that the incident stems from a domestic dispute.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Manchester Police Division, Superintendent Gary Francis is appealing to citizens to find other means of handling disagreements.
