Two men were shot and killed Monday morning in York Town, St. James, hours after another shooting in the parish. Member of Parliament Homer Davis has expressed concern for what he described as a barbaric act.

The two men who were shot dead have been identified as 64-year-old Henry Salmon and 55-year-old Gilbert Jackson, both carpenters, who according to residents, were exemplary members of their community. 

CVM LIVE understands that at about 8:50 am, the vehicle in which Salmon and Jackson were driving was sprayed with gunshots. This killing has left relatives, residents, and the Member of Parliament near speechless. Salmon’s wife says she is confident her husband was not involved in wrongdoing. She too says he is a hardworking man who is highly respected by many. Meanwhile, Operations Officer for the St. James Division, Superintendent Eron Samuels is urging residents who may have information to corporate with the police. This incident follows a shooting at a bar in anchovy in the parish. Watch the report for more details:
