The government says it is drafting legislation to allow social enterprises that list on the Jamaica Social Stock Exchange (JSSE) to offer shares to the public and for those shares to be traded on the secondary market. The announcement was made during the JSSE’s listing ceremony.

Deaf Can became the first social enterprise to list on the JSSE.
