Jamaica Continues to Produce Record COVID-19 Positive Cases

There remains much concern, as the country’s record number of COVID-19 cases continues to mount. The country has experienced consecutive days of record-high positives and the growing unease that many are not adhering to the protocols.

The Immunologist and Research Scientist say as the country sees an alarming jump in cases, the pressure is mounting on the already fragile health infrastructure.

He says if Jamaicans should adhere to the COVID-19 safety guidelines such as mask-wearing, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing the rapid spread of the virus can be brought under control.

It’s close to a year since Jamaica confirmed its first case of the virus
