The Member of Parliament for St. Andrew north eastern, Justice Minister Delroy Chuck is holding firm to his position that informing the security forces of criminal activities is the right step in crime and violence reduction. 

He also attempted to lay to rest claims of gangs in sections of his constituency. His comment follows a triple murder in Grants Pen recently. The murders on Morgan Lane, Grants Pen, St. Andrew a week ago has sparked concerns of deadly reprisals. Member of Parliament Delroy Chuck tells CVM Live there are violent flare-ups from time to time but they rarely last. He adds that there was friction which foreshadowed the latest killings. The man he refers to was allegedly the area don, but Chuck denys this as well as the presence of gangs in the area. He says he continues to partner with the police to ensure residents do not live in fear and can move about freely.
