The Education Minister Fayval Williams confirms that the College of Agriculture, Science and Education will receive a special education diagnostic center by September this year. She’s also promising to complete several unfinished projects at the college in the near future.

Speaking at the evening of excellence case alumni gala dinner and awards banquet last Saturday, Minister Fayval Williams said this center will cater to students with special needs in eastern Jamaica. Minister Williams says several projects have been started on the campus, but were halted for various reasons. Meanwhile, recently resigned minister without portfolio Robert Montague was honored by the case alumni for agriculture and education.

The former Minister says he’s grateful for the recognition, although he says his contribution was not so he could receive anything in return. He says despite not receiving the necessary funding and attention, CASE remains the Caribbean’s premier institution for agricultural education.
