CAPRI Study Unmasks Dark Side Of State Care

A recent study conducted by the Caribbean Policy Research Institute, CAPRI, has reiterated the need for strong government intervention and support for protecting children in the state’s care.

Among the grim findings of the CAPRI ‘Fix The Village’ research was that wards of the state are at risk of being sexually, emotionally and physically exploited after a prolonged stay in state care.

CAPRI’S Lead Researcher in the study,  Dr. Leanne Levers made the presentation on the findings Wednesday.
