Residents of several communities within the Trafalgar Division in St. Andrew are urging the relevant authorities to install and replace broken streetlights in the area, as the lack of lighting has become a security hazard. 

The 2019 resolution on streetlight repairs in the Kingston and St. Andrew municipality stipulates that repair must be done within fourteen days after the report is made. However, Councillor Candidate for the Division Jesse James Clarke says the lights have been out for a much longer period.

Clarke also complains of issues even with the working street lights. He’s calling for more security measures to be implemented to reduce crime within his division. This is the newest of several complaints regarding damaged streetlights causing an uptick in crime. Watch the report below:
