The Transport Authority‘s pilot phase of the restructuring of the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre Re-Route plan is now complete.
Since May, several rural-stage carriage buses were re-routed to terminate within the multi-billion dollar transport hub.
The initiative was a move to improve consultation in the transport sector and to reduce congestion within the vicinity.
The operators say though the changes have helped, more enforcement is needed as some operators insist on parking outside the transport centre to pick up passengers.
While hailing the changes, the drivers and conductors highlighted that they made much more money utilizing the Molynes Road corridor.
The Transport Authority is now in the process of reviewing the changes to move to the next phase.
The Government agency says the restructuring was done in phases to ensure adequate consultation, efficient communication and to give commuters and bus operators adequate time to adjust.
