$912 Billion Estimates of Expenditure Tabled for 2022/23

On Thursday, February 10, during the Sitting of the House of Parliament, Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke tabled the estimates of expenditure for the fiscal year 2022/2023. The proposed budget is said to be just about 2.1 per cent more or 912 billion dollars in total when compared to the previous budget. 

The Minister says the government will be targeting growth-enhancing measures and hopes to increase capital investment by some 20 per cent. Dr Clarke says despite nearly three years in a pandemic Jamaica is rebounding economically but not without challenges.
