15 Left Homeless in St. Thomas Fire

Fifteen people are now uncertain of where they all lay their heads tonight after their homes were gutted by a massive fire in Stewart Field, Seaforth, St. Thomas on Saturday. CVM LIVE understands the fire started at about 2 pm and spread to the neighbouring house, both of which were board structures.

Nothing was saved. Although the firefighters reportedly arrived at the scene swiftly, they were only able to carry out cooling down operations, as the two houses were already flattened by the flames.

Another victim Kareen Comrie says she is devastated and confused about her next move. Councillor for the Seaforth Division Joan Spencer says plans are in order to assist the victims. However, she urges people to assist if they are able to.
