Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) drivers took industrial action on Monday morning after one of their colleagues was allegedly physically abused and arrested by the police.
It is said the drivers who are displeased about the way their colleague was treated are being supported by management who will be having high-level discussions in order to resolve the issue.
One elderly woman in Mountain View says she has been waiting on a JUTC bus from after 6 am and after three hours of waiting, remained in the same spot because she relied on her JUTC bus card to get her around
