Over the last 24 hours, Jamaica has recorded two more COVID-19 related deaths and 47 more COVID-19 cases. The deceased are a 64-year-old male from St. Mary and a 7-year-old male from St. Catherine.

This brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 217.

Additionally, two more deaths have been recorded as coincidental deaths. This brings the number of coincidental deaths to 18. While, three other deaths are under investigation, bringing that total to 31.

And of the 47 more COVID-19 cases, 26 are males and 21 are females, age ranging from 10 years to 74 years of age. This pushes the total number of cases to 9, 373.

St. Catherine and Kingston and St. Andrew have recorded the most cases with St. Catherine recording 17 new cases and the Corporate Area recording 11.

Meanwhile, 41 persons have recovered and 4,287 cases are active.

Seventy-six persons are hospitalized, with 17 moderately ill and 6 in a critical condition.
