With the protocols for reopening the multi-billion dollar tourism sector almost complete, the Ministers call to be “first out of the box” for the sector which employs approximately 350,000 Jamaicans directly or indirectly is gaining momentum. But is it a Pandora’s Box?

The protocols entail a whole range of responses that the workers of the industry will have to make and also a number of infrastructure adjustments that the hotels will have to make to ensure that Jamaica can provide destination assurance.

To discuss the reopening of the tourism sector we are joined by Delano Seiveright Senior Advisor, tourism communications strategist to Jamaica’s government and member of the COVID-19 tourism recovery taskforce. Hotelier Jason Henzell and UWI lecturer, Dr. Kadamawe Knife.
