Jamaica’s corporate governance framework details how public bodies are expected to function in an effort to encourage accountability, probity, and transparency, despite this framework and a number of legislative instruments to regulate the functioning of these corporate bodies, board leadership continues to flagrantly ignore the requirements of the framework and the law. What allows for this and what do we need to do to hold boards accountable?
