COVID-19: How Are Churches Handling Dwindling Attendance?

Worship worries for churchgoers, as centuries of tradition, may have to be disrupted as a result of a modern contagion. The outbreak of COVID-19 in Jamaica has led to a restriction on large gatherings and recommendations of social distancing which impact the traditional offerings of the church. Many are turning to technology, but how effectively are the churches helping to spread the message of containment?

How are churches handling dwindling attendance? And how are they protecting the vulnerable elders in their congregations?

To discuss the role of the church in the era of the Coronavirus, we are joined by an impressive panel including Reverend Newton Dixon President of the Jamaica council of churches (JCC), Rev. Dr. Peter Garth President of the Jamaica evangelical alliance and bishop Conrad Pitkin Chairman Of Jamaica Umbrella Group Of Churches (JUGC).
