The local representatives in Central Kingston have agreed that the recent tragedy at the Kingston Technical High school is a cry for greater intervention and conflict resolution in schools.

Both the Member of Parliament and the caretaker showed up to lend support to the school family while they mourn.

Swift intervention and conflict management are grounds on which the Central Kingston Member of Parliament, Donovan Williams and Caretaker, Imani Duncan Price, agreed upon hearing the news of the fatal stabbing at a school in the constituency Thursday.

The politicians took the opportunity to visit the school Friday in a show of solidarity and concern. He is urging parents to do more to help stem the bloodletting and violence in schools.

Meantime, his opposition counterpart says the time has come for the country to act swiftly to save its youth and people in general.
