Work is finally underway to install a new bridge in Bowden Hill St. Andrew.

The entire structure of the bridge which collapsed in February 2019 will be replaced.

Mayor of Kingston and St. Andrew, Delroy Williams says the Bridge should be completed in approximately ten (10) weeks.

According to the Mayor, residents of Bowden Hill district and Airy Castle are already very happy as they have been enduring a reel of inconveniences since the collapse of the connecting bridge.

Mayor Williams notes that there will be water disruptions, however, the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) is working closely with the National Works Agency (NWA) to reduce the length of the construction.

He is urging residents to exercise caution for the duration of the reconstruction of the bridge.
