Jamaican filmmaker Kia Moses lands the cover of UK’s creative industry publication Pitch.
Kia Moses, who directed award-winning short film Flight with fellow Jamaican director Adrian McDonald, is one of three Jamaican filmmaking talent selected by Pitch magazine editor, Sherry Collins, to feature in its latest, issue Pitch Cool. Jamaican Filmmakers Storm Saulter and Teeqs, have also been selected among the 17 outstanding talent for this special issue.
Pitch Cool, launched to coincide with UK Black History Month features talent from Africa and the African diaspora who are outstanding individuals identified, due to their creative merit, as creators and pioneers. The issue also includes Spike Lee’s protégé, US filmmaker Stefon Bristol, who directed the sci-fi film for Netflix, See You Yesterday, Maya Cozier, the much-celebrated director from Trinidad and Tobago, Comfort Arthur, the award-winning animation director from the UK and Ghana, plus many more.

To coincide with the Pitch Cool issue launch, Sherry Collins is hosting a special short film screening event at UK creative members club, Shoreditch House, part of the well-known Soho House group. The event, taking place on the 22nd of October, will feature work by Kia Moses, Elizabeth Francisco, Akley Olton and more.
Kia Moses, has also been interviewed for the Pitch Podcast – the episode will be launched end of October on the Pitch website.
