Persons living in the parishes of Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Thomas and other nearby parishes now have greater access to HIV testing.

A mobile HIV testing unit valued at 12 million dollars was recently donated to the South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The donation was made through the United States President’s Emergency Plans for AIDS Relief Program.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton encouraged Jamaicans to get tested for HIV as it is a critical part of controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
