Jumoke Patrick, Executive Director of the Jamaican Network of Seropositives stops by the Sunrise studio on World AIDS Day. It is commemorated globally on December 1 and this year’s theme is ‘Let Communities Lead’, which is a call to action showing that the world can end AIDS, with
communities leading the way. This year’s Annual World AIDS Day Forum will be held on
Friday, December 1 at the Summit (formerly Knutsford Court Hotel), commencing at 10 a.m. The
theme for the forum is “Reimagining and Transforming the HIV response through the lens of
Communities”. The forum will highlight the voices of members of key and vulnerable
populations about their own contributions leading their communities, demonstrating the strength
and determination of communities infected and affected by HIV. The forum will also raise
awareness about the significant progress achieved over the years.
