Wave for Water, a non-profit organization originating from the Philippines, is making an impact in rural communities in Jamaica. The organization began as a response to the super typhoon Haiyan in 2013 where over 4.2 million Filipinos were affected. They saw the need and provided clean water to all who could be reached.

Their latest initiative is a collaboration between the Rotary Club of Léogãne and the local Rotary Club of New Kingston where they will distribute 150 water filters to in-need families in an effort to increase access to potable water in Jamaica. CEO of Waves For Water, Haiti, Fritz Pierre Louis and Governor-Elect of Rotary Club of New Kingston, Peta-Gay Pryce tell us more about this initiative on Sunrise.
