In this Reset Jamaica segment, we discuss the ‘vaccine chaos’, the most popular topic of the week with Dr. Jacquiline A. Bisasor-McKenzie, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Over the past few weeks, questions were raised regarding the scarcity of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. Bisasor-McKenzie says “there has been a bit of difficulty getting vaccines in the country as we expect them, we try to schedule because it is difficult to get to persons at the last minute, in an orderly fashion”
Vulnerability age groups had to be prioritized after the ‘pull back’ of distributing the vaccines. CMO explained that the persons who are still not at their twelve (12) weeks are still within their schedule.
