The Jamaican-based SMC Group has once again partnered with Jamaican teachers to offer free summer classes in Math, English, and the Sciences to students in Jamaica and elsewhere in the world. The project titled, SMC Teach, was designed to help students whose learning has been affected by the current raging COVID-19 pandemic, and the outbreak of the Monkey Pox virus that has raised concerns in Jamaica, and other parts of the world.

“The SMC Group/Hamilton Family has a long history of giving back to the community. While life may have changed the way we do it, our commitment still remains the same. SMC Teach will support our students and parents on multiple levels throughout these challenging times,’ Maurice Hamilton, group CEO.

Being a completely virtual experience, locally trained teachers partnered with SMC Teach will be able to interact with students for up to two hours per week discussing issues they are having with Math, English, and science-based subjects at no cost. SMC Teach started on Monday, July 11, and will run up until August 26.

Parents, teachers, and students who are interested in SMC Teach may sign-up and/or read more information at www.smcteach.com.
