Dean Sharing the Headley Way of Cricketing

Dean Headley comes from a legendary line of cricket players. His father Ron played for both Derbyshire and West Indies, while his grandfather George Headley, also known as “The Black Bradman,” appeared in 22 Test matches for the West Indies. Dean Headley was a strong bowler who could seam the ball both ways. In 15 Test matches, he took 60 wickets, with his best bowling statistics of 6-60 coming against the Australians in Melbourne. Headley received an ECB central contract in 2000, but his international career was cut short by ongoing injuries. He would have developed into a formidable strike bowler if injuries had not had such a significant impact on his career. Dean Headley zoomed in for a quick chat to share more about his story.
