Imagine celebrating 55 Years of existence and growth?! Biomedical Caledonia Medical Laboratory Limited is a private medical laboratory with a network of over fifty collection centres island-wide and has been providing comprehensive laboratory services since 1968.
The laboratory participates in external proficiency testing with the Medical Laboratory Evaluation (MLE) programme provided by the American College of Physicians, Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS), American Proficiency Institute (API), United Kingdom National External Quality Assessment Services (UKNEQAS) and National Microbiology Laboratory (NML).
On May 28, 2013, the Laboratory was awarded Accreditation Status from the Jamaica National Agency for Accreditation (JANAAC) having met the required International Standard of ISO 15189 that governs medical laboratories. The Laboratory has successfully completed three (3) Surveillance since its accreditation. They share their story and celebrate with Sunrise:
