The yellow-nape species of Amazon parrots are intelligent, sociable, and affectionate birds that are native to Central America and the Pacific Coast. They have a lifespan of 60–80 years and primarily feed on fruits, green leafy vegetables, and seeds. Yellow-nape parrots are known for their ability to mimic sounds and can learn a vocabulary of 100–120 words with proper training.
