Community of “rogue cop” victim in uproar (April 2, 2019)

Residents of the community of St. Johns Road in Spanish Town took to the streets to register their anger at the murder of Sheldon “Junior Biggs” Daley allegedly by rogue police officers.

Residents of the victim’s community are calling his death  one of a cold blooded murder. Sheldon Daley was allegedly killed by a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force Mobile Reserve in a Chedwin Park car park.

The killing sparked a wild car chase through the streets of St. Catherine which claimed the lives of a police officer and a man visiting from the United States of America.

Residents of the St. Catherine based community mounted barricades and debris which were set ablaze in their cry for justice.

The mother-in-law of the slain man says her son-in-law was killed in cold blood by the police officers, which leaves her daughter to care for their three children by herself.

Members of the security forces arrived on the scene to quell the disturbances and clear the road blocks.

The police are appealing  to the residents to allow the law to take its course as the Independent Commission of Investigation (INDECOM) carry out their investigation into the killing.
