Caricel continues its fight to operate in Jamaica after the Court of Appeal denied its application for a stay following the revocation of its licenses.

The telecommunication firm now plans to take the matter to the nation’s highest court, the London based Privy Council in their quest for justice against the Jamaican government.

In a press conference called by the operators to outline their next move, CEO Lowell Lawrence says that there’s a greater issue at hand.

“We were told by the vendors that operators told them that we (Caricel) would never get a license in this country…”, the CEO revealed at the press conference.

“Every step of the way they have tried all that they could to stop this company” Mr. Lawrence lamented.

Symbiote which trades as Caricel, had its licenses revoked in 2016 and later appeared before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal which both denied its application.
