The Battle for Leadership of the People’s National Party continues.
The latest update sees Peter Bunting and his Rise United Team presenting the results of an opinion poll which focuses on the public view and the impact of the challenge.
The poll was conducted from July 20, 2019 – August 2, 2019. It takes in the views of seven hundred and fifty people, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5%.
The poll shows Peter Bunting at 36% as the person with a better chance of winning against the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) while Dr Peter Phillips is at 16%.
39% of respondents believed Bunting is better suited to lead compared to the 21% in favour of Phillips.
The findings were presented at a press briefing at the Spanish court hotel in Kingston.
