Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell’s 10-month-old daughter Sarayah Paulwell, and her mother 27-year-old Toshyna Patterson are confirmed dead. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey confirmed the news during a press conference, then highlighted the charges laid against the accused, Leoda Bradshaw, Roland Lloyd Balfour, Roshane Miller, and Richard Brown.
US Navy petty officer Leoda Bradshaw, the lone woman accused of the murder of Phillip Paulwell’s 10-month-old daughter and her mother, arrived in the Home Circuit Court in Downtown Kingston. She arrived late wearing makeup and two masks, effectively hiding her face; clad in a long loose-fitted purple and white dress.
Only Leoda and her cousin Balfour’s case in court today
The prosecution further alleges that Leoda Bradshaw and her cousin Balfour hired men to murder Toshyna Patterson and her child. The Court today heard that Bradshaw went to the home of Toshyna Patterson around 7 AM on September 9. Patterson and her 10-month-old child, Sarayah went into a SUV motor car parked at her gate. The vehicle remained on site for 15 minutes, then left at 7:22 A.M.
The prosecution further alleges Bradshaw took the pair to Stony Hill, in the vicinity of where she was staying, and handed them over to her co-accused Richard Brown and “other persons to be apprehended”. Patterson and her child were then taken to Wareika Hills in Kingston East where they were reportedly shot and burnt.
The court was told blood and dried bones were recovered by the police.
