Dr. Tamika Benjamin is a woman who is passionate about Mathematics. She is the National Mathematics Coordinator/Tertiary Support Officer at the Ministry of Education Youth and Information. In her capacity, Dr. Benjamin is responsible for developing and implementing policies designed to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics in Jamaica. She also supports the work of the Ministry through the Tertiary Unit by Managing the Tertiary Personnel Unit and the Tertiary Student’s Assistance Programme. She took our ‘Her Rise’ spotlight on Sunrise to share her story.
