First time Member of Parliament, Rhoda Moy Crawford on Tuesday, made her second contribution to the state of the constituency debate dubbing Manchester Central the “now envied constituency”.

The first-time Member of Parliament says to this end, the people of Manchester Central, having closely monitored her performance, have handed her a report card as proof of her progress.

Crawford says several roads have been repaired under her ‘Road a Fix’ Programme.

As for educational assistance, she notes the provision of 385 tuition grants to students of early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.

From uniforms to stationery, Rhoda Moy Crawford adds that 1200 students have been provided with resources through the constituency development fund.

She says 207 constituents have also received training through the heart/ NTA trust.

With regard to direct employment opportunities, the MP says 478 constituents have received assistance.

Crawford however stresses those more work needs to be done to rebuild the constituency which she says has been neglected for more than 30 years.

She is calling on the Finance Minister to make available provisions to either allow for an increase in the monthly allowance given to MPs to run their constituency offices.
