The Clarendon police visited the families of the deceased involved in a recent car crash in Lionel Town. It is understood several of the youngsters in the vehicle were members of their respective police youth clubs.

Director of complaints at the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) Central Region, Dave Lewin also visited the family and survivors of the crash to get statements for their independent investigators.

Youths from the Hayes and Lionel Town Youth Club in Clarendon were joined by members of the Clarendon Police at the Hayes Primary and Junior High as they mourn the death of their colleagues.

Two of the deceased were part of the Hayes Youth Club, two of the females that sustained injuries are a part of the Lionel Town Police Youth Club.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Owen Brown, who heads the Community Safety and Security branch in Clarendon led the initiative.
