Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Daryl Vaz says a $78 million dollar project has strengthened Jamaica’s capacity to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
Since 2016, three community-based pilot programme have been implemented under the Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership Project.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Project’s closing ceremony and information session, the Minister said the negative impact of climate change is a major concern for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
